Pricing — How I Get Paid

What I charge, and who pays me.

No "call for pricing." This is every way a family can work with me and exactly what it costs. It's all here because you shouldn't have to ask.

Two paths, and they're paid for differently.

If a move is happening

Find a Community

Help finding a place to move.

$0 to your family

There is never a bill on this path. The community your family chooses pays me a referral fee when someone moves in.

If you're figuring it out

Care Planning

Help staying home, or working out what’s needed.

Not sure what's needed? That's where I start. I come to you, we get to know each other, and I ask the questions families don't know to ask.

Then I build a written plan for your family: what's needed now, what's coming, and who to call for each piece of it. And I stay on your team as long as you want me.

Paid by your family

Every price is on the menu below.

Every family starts free. Some never pay anything at all.

The three Care Plan levels

LevelPriceWhen it fits
Focused$500One main need, like home safety or adding some help at home. One visit, and one or two services set up.
Full$750Several needs at once, like help at home, safety changes and a benefits question. A family meeting, and up to about three services set up.
Complex$1,500A lot moving at once: memory loss with behaviors, a hospital discharge, family disagreement, Medicaid work, several providers, or a second visit.

If planning ends in a move

Finding the community is free to your family, whether you started there or got there through a plan.

And nothing from the planning is wasted. By then I know your family member and what they need, so the search starts from there instead of from zero.

Need help with something quick?

You don't need a full care plan to work with me. If you just want help getting things done, I work by the hour.

  • Getting things set up at home. Help with a piece of technology, like a medical alert button or a tablet for video calls, or getting connected with a few trusted providers I've already vetted and who are ready to go.
  • Finding the right home care agency. I came from home care, so I know how the agencies here differ: who can cover nights and weekends, who keeps the same caregiver coming, and what they charge. I'll find the ones that fit and help you pick.
  • Being there for a hard conversation with your family member. Sometimes it helps to have someone at the table who isn't family.
  • Paperwork and benefits. Forms, Medicaid and benefits applications, and written updates so the whole family is on the same page.
  • Something else you need done. Ask me.

$150/hour. I tell you the total before I start, and you say yes first. Calls and texts are never billed.

Three things I always do

The no-surprise rule

Nothing billable starts until I've said something like "that's about two hours, want me to do it?" and you've said yes. Never after.

A statement every month

You get a statement every month, even when there's nothing extra on it. Most months your statement is just the $100. That's the promise, in writing.

How I'm paid, up front

Oregon requires me to disclose how I'm paid. You'll have that from me before we tour anything.

Step one is free. Start there.

A free call, about 20 minutes. I'll tell you which path fits, or that you don't need me yet.
